Regenerative Farm Hvar

Farm to Table

Why We Chose to Restore Abandoned Land on Hvar

Our regenerative farm was born from a deep sense of responsibility — not only to the land itself, but to the future. After more than 30 years of abandonment, we saw an opportunity to bring life back to this neglected piece of Hvar — slowly, gently, and in a way that would last.

We believe that the way we treat the land today defines what kind of future we create.

We chose the regenerative path because it’s not about quick results.

It’s about healing. It’s about soil that breathes again, plants that thrive without chemicals, and ecosystems that are allowed to find balance. Our approach respects the rhythm of nature, not the speed of the market.

What Are We Trying to Achieve?

Our goal is not only to grow food, but to grow biodiversity, resilience, and community. We want to create a space where people can reconnect — with nature, with animals, with simplicity. A place where traditions are remembered, but the future is built consciously.

This is about more than farming. It’s about changing the relationship we have with land — from extraction to cooperation.

Why Animals?

We dream of a farm where goats, sheep, donkeys, ducks, and chickens are not only companions, but partners in regeneration.
They contribute naturally: grazing keeps invasive plants in check, their manure enriches the soil, their presence brings life to the landscape.
Donkeys clear paths. Ducks help with pests. Chickens help us compost. And above all, they remind us of slower, quieter ways of life.

Why Don’t We Mow Before June?

We don't mow before June. Not out of laziness—but out of love.

Because we believe every insect matters.
We delay mowing to allow wildflowers to bloom and feed pollinators, birds to nest safely, and nature to complete her early-season cycle. It’s a small act of patience with a big impact.

Regenerative Tourism — More Than Just a Stay

We believe travel should leave a place better than it was before.
That’s why we invite our guests to be part of the story.

Whether it's cleaning a beach together, planting a tree, foraging for wild herbs, or helping in the garden, our visitors don't just observe — they participate.

We’ve found that these moments often become the most meaningful parts of their stay.

Not because they’re picture-perfect, but because they’re real.

These experiences connect people—to the land, to each other, and to themselves.
They’re not curated for Instagram. They’re created in the moment, with hands in the soil and salt on the skin.

Regenerative tourism is not about doing less harm—it's about doing good.
And with every guest who joins us, we grow this movement, step by step, with intention and care.

Our Philosophy

Our love for nature goes beyond our need to take more than we truly need.
We don’t want to dominate the land — we want to live with it, share it, and leave it better than we found it.

This is our way of giving back to Hvar — one small act at a time.
And we believe that if we do it with care, others will follow.

WHY WILD FOOD?

Because it grows without our permission.
No fertilizers. No pesticides. No control.
Wild food is resilient. Brave. Independent.

It grows where it can, not where we tell it to. And that teaches us humility.

When we forage, we don’t just gather — we observe. We learn the rhythm of the seasons. We respect balance.
We take only what we need, never more.

WHY FERMENTATION?

Because it’s a process that teaches trust and patience.

Fermentation is slow. Quiet. Alive.

We ferment to preserve — but also to transform.
Simple ingredients like leaves, fruits, and herbs become living tonics, vinegars, drinks, and condiments that evolve over time.
